MLK MIZUNO USA BASEBALL CLASSIC TOURNAMENT IS CANCELLED.

Teams and Coaches:
The economy seems to have taken a toll on a tournament that has been in place for a number of years--and this year with a great corporate Sponsor as Mizuno USA. We have held off in hopes that registrations would begin to come in; however, today we have decided to cancel the Mizuno Baseball Classic over the MLK Weekend. This decision is a hard decision, but we wanted to make it early enough to give teams a chance to make other plans. We have checked with CSST, and they did not have any teams with pending rooms. There is another tournament in Las Vegas over the weekend. USSSA Nevada is running a tournament. For information, please go to www.vegasvalleybaseball.com We wish you well, and hope that you will consider coming to a future tournament that we host.... Thanks and happy holidays.

Coyotes Players Attend Second Annual Baseball Clinic.

On February 2, the Coyotes Players and friends took the opportunity to get valuable baseball tips and instruction from 4 Major League players. The Coyotes would like to thank the players that spent the time and shared their knowledge with the team. The Players were Justin Leone (San Francisco Giants AAA), Gil Velazquez (Boston Red Socks AAA), Steve Russell from the independent league and the Atlanta Braves Organization, and Russ Cleveland from the Independent League and the Detroit Tigers organization. It was a great day of baseball.

Some people think Baseball is just a game. THEY ARE WRONG... Baseball is about reaching deep inside yourself to catch the ball that can't be caught.... And hit a pitch that can't be hit.... It is about the SOUL. Baseball is about Bad Hops, Bad Breaks, Bad Throws, and Bad Calls. It's about striking out and making errors. It is about overcoming all of those things.... Baseball is about kids who become Stars.... Stars who become Heroes.... Heroes who become.... Legends.

2nd Annual Coyotes Golf Tournament
The Second Annual Coyotes Golf Tournament was a success. Our thanks to the Sponsors and the 80 Golfers that came out for a great time of Golf, and helped raise money to offset the cost of playing baseball.

SERTOMA CLINIC FOR THE DEAF. Click here for pictures

On July 1, the Coyotes sponsored a baseball clinic with SERTOMA at Rainbow Family Park. This was the third year that the Coyotes have been involved, and each year there are more participants than the year before. This year there were 30 children that participated in the Activities. Many of the Coyotes players came out and helped. At the end, we played a Baseball Game and ended with a BBQ. Click on the link above for pictures from the event. Thanks to all the Coyotes and Coyotes Parents that volunteered in this worthwhile cause. The Coyotes would also like to thank Peccole Little League for their continued support.
